Street art 3

These things make me happy to create: the tar on the street photos, combined with random words, some Gaskell’s quotes and scans and a few other antique images. I love the way the tar looks like brush script. I love the haunted look of the people in the mug shots. I’ve got a few more in mind to do, the files are huge, so maybe I stop after this one.

The first and second images in this series are cool too.

Textures in illustrations

Donna the Buffalo cover art

A while back, I took a skillshare class on using textures for CD covers. It was taught by a guy from Australia, he was quite good, some of his techniques were new to me, and I loved his style. The band I picked was Donna the Buffalo, and I picked their last album to re-create. I didn’t really dig what was done for them before. This cover uses some of their graphic looks, but with my spin on it.
